When looking for skin needling in Brisbane, Realskin The Facial Hub is proud to provide state-of-the-art skin needling facial treatments. Following a deep cleanse, the skin needling device glides across the skin, generating small micro skin channels, that stimulate collagen production.
Here at Realskin The Facial Hub, we specifically choose the MDerma skin needling device:
So, what exactly is skin needling?
Realskin The Facial Hub, skin needling treatments start with a deep cleanse and ultrasonic. A topical anaesthetic is applied to your skin for 30 minutes. This prepares the area for dermal penetration (0.5mm-2.8mm depth), these micro skin channels stimulate the skins natural collagen production. The micro channels increase the absorption of the hydrating serum used to glide the device across the skin, stimulates the repair at a cellular level, and accelerates the regeneration of the epidermis.
The disposable needles remove the risk of cross-contamination and the adjustable depth allows treatment that is adaptable to individual needs.
We recommend booking a late-afternoon appointment, as this will allow for you to go home after your treatment to relax and allow your skin to heal uninterrupted.
Skin needling is becoming an increasingly popular beauty treatment, due to the multiple benefits the treatment provides. The procedure targets the breakdown of old, damaged collagen and stimulates new, strong collagen to unveil outstanding results in skin rejuvenation.
Key benefits include:
At Realskin The Facial Hub, our state-of-the-art skin needling treatments cost $300 for the 90 minute session with one of our trained team. This price includes the after-procedure skincare pack, valued up to $95, *pack not included in prepaid courses.
Your after-procedure care is a very important factor of the treatment. It’s important to care for your skin 5-7 days post treatment. Your skin will undergo the three stages of healing; inflammation – the skin will be flashed with immune and repair cells to heal the skin, proliferation – this is where the skin rebuilds collagen tissue, and remodeling – old collagen is replaced with new and stronger collagen, further it is during this stage that the new collagen fibers lay closer together and cross link for a strong foundation.
Following the treatment, most guests may notice some mild skin redness and inflammation that appears similar to mild sunburn. Guests may also experience some mild bruising or slight pinpoint bleeding. These side effects tend to last for 24-48 hours and can be covered with makeup 12 hours post treatment.
Noticeable results can be seen within a week or two. The skin appears smoother and more radiant, these results will continue to develop over time.
The recovery time for skin needling will vary from treatment to treatment. We encourage our guests to nurture their skin for 5-7 days post treatment.
Since the skin enters the inflammation stage for the first 24-48hours, most guests experience the skin as sensitive and warm.
During the proliferation stage, 2-7days post treatment, the skin can feel dry and tight – this is due to the rapid cell turnover or old cells being replaced by new cells.
Onwards for 7days the skin enters the remodeling stage, with some evidence that this stage can last up to 2 years, the cross-linked collagen formation continues to strengthen the skin over time.
Yes! Skin needling can be performed on all skin colours and types without risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
For your comfort, prior to the skin needling part of the procedure, a topical anaesthetic is applied to your skin for 30 minutes. Most guests don’t feel anything during the treatment, though when the anaestetic wears off, guests may experience some mild tenderness for the first 24-48hours. Thus, following the prescribed homecare will nurture the skin during the post treatment days.
